Advisor
Mr. Doherty has been teaching English at Sweet Home High School since 2010. He earned a degree in journalism from Buffalo State College and is a freelance writer for the Buffalo Spree magazine. Mr. D loves his family, traveling, live music, and the city of Buffalo.
Editor-in-Chief
Matt is in his Junior year of high school and enjoys soccer and music. His focus this year will be maintaining The Panther Eye website and social medias.
Managing Editor
Morgan is a junior at Sweet Home High School. Morgan was a writer for Life & Arts in the Panther Press at the middle school, and is now the managing editor for the Panther Eye. Morgan will be writing about news around the school and creative thinking.
News Editor
Hunter is a freshman at Sweet Home and was previously involved with the Panther Press. This is his first year with The Panther Eye and he currently serves as the News Editor, his writing this year will primarily focus on the high school administration, student government, and the Board of Education.
Life & Arts/Advice Editor
Bailey was previously involved with the Panther Press at Sweet Home Middle School. She was a writer for one year and an editor of the Life & Arts section for two. This year Bailey plans on contributing reviews and other insight about Life & Arts within Sweet Home High School.
Opinions Editor
Lexi previously wrote for the Panther Press, and was the editor for the News section for two years. Lexi is now the opinion section editor of The Panther Eye. She plays volleyball for the JV team at Sweet Home.
Sports Editor
Olivia is in her sophomore year of High School. Her writing will focus primarily around sports in the Sweet Home Community.
Media Editor
Alysa is a sophomore at Sweet Home High School and was previously involved with RNL (Recorded Not Live). This is her first year with the Panther Eye Newspaper and is eager to help out with many topics the paper covers.
Contributing Writers
Ayo is in his junior year in High School. He has a college masters degree in engineering in his future and has unmistakable talent in literature.
Praise is a freshman at Sweet Home High School. She enjoys playing field hockey and plans to write for the Sports section.
Ryan Burke is a freshman at Sweet Home High School, and a former Co-Editor of the Panther Press Viewpoints Section. He enjoys swimming and playing piano, and plans on providing input to political issues, both nationally and locally. He considers himself an advocate for Social Democracy.
Nicole is a Sophomore at Sweet Home High School. This is her first year with The Panther Eye as well as first experience with a school newspaper. She is looking forward to be involved with many parts of the paper especially digital media.
Eli is a Freshman at Sweet Home High School. He enjoys writing, drawing, biking and swimming. It’s his first year with The Panther Eye, but he has experience working in the opinions section of the Middle School newspaper The Panther Press. He is very excited to work on various topics for The Panther Eye.
Lauren is a sophomore this year at Sweet Home and enjoys writing about many different genres! Outside of the school she enjoys hanging with friends and playing volleyball! This is her first year of the Panther Eye but she’s very excited to be apart of it!
Yuri is a freshman at Sweet Home High School. They enjoy standing out from the crowd and music. Yuri plans on writing for Life & Arts and Opinions.
April is in her sophomore year of High School. She plans on contributing to Life & Arts and Advice.
Aimee is a Freshman at Sweet Home High School. She plans on writing for the Advice Section.
Hawon is a freshman this year at Sweet Home High School and is a new writer for The Panther Eye. Although it’s her first time, she is very excited and hopes to help write about various topics for the school!
Alicia is in her sophomore year at Sweet Home High School and loves movies and music! This year Alicia plans on writing about pop culture and mental health.

Maddie is a freshman this year and is new to the Panther Eye. She is eager to start this year and help out writing about a lot of topics.
Isabella Vega is a freshman at Sweet Home High School. She plans on doing a variety of writing. She hasn’t written for a school newspaper before but she is super excited!
Derek is going into his freshman year at Sweet Home High School and enjoys music and swimming. He will primarily be focusing on providing sports articles and providing photos for the Eye.
