Places to Visit During the Buffalo Springtime
Spring is right around the corner, so we’ve compiled a list of places to go!
As we approach spring and more and more people continue to get vaccinated, people will begin to go out more. However, it is important to continue to help prevent the spread of COVID. That means wearing a mask whenever you want to go out. Here are some places to visit in Buffalo this spring!
Japanese Garden
The Japanese Garden is a beautiful place to visit when the flowers start to bloom this spring. Cherry Blossom Trees bloom in pretty pink colors all over the park. The Japanese Garden contains a trail and water. The lush gardens will no doubt put you at ease!
Botanical Gardens
Another great place to visit in Buffalo is the Botanical Gardens. There, you’ll find a greenhouse and a shadehouse that contain a diversity of plants. At night, neon lights are turned on, making the flowers look majestic. Some of the plants include herbs, cacti, succulents, and tropical plants. Visiting the Botanical Gardens will support the protection of world plant species, while also being educational.
Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park is another beautiful location in Buffalo. It contains a 7 mile trail with 50 breathtaking waterfalls along the way. There’s a gorge formed by the Genesee River that has rock walls that tower at 550 feet in some places! There’s also many picnic tables and playgrounds. For those who would like to spend a day in nature, this would be a great place to go!
Glen Falls
Glen Park is another park that contains multiple waterfalls. It’s quiet and full of serenity. It’s a great place for walking, thinking, and even doing art! Right off of Main Street in Williamsville, Glen Falls isn’t far from Sweet Home. There are also many stores and restaurants nearby!
