Dear Corona: Makayla Magyar
Read Makayla Magyar’s submission to the Dear Corona contest.
COVID-19 has affected my life in a good way. I’ve been able to get better grades since there aren’t any tests and I struggle with tests. It’s also been great to be at home doing work because I get to spend more time with my three cats. I also like having my own schedule and not having to eat lunch at 10:30 am like in school.
But, COVID-19 hasn’t been all positive. Since everything closed, I’ve had to switch to online Taekwondo classes. It’s kind of hard especially when you don’t have that much space to do your things. I also was supposed to get my black belt in Taekwondo on May 2nd but that’s postponed and I don’t know when I will be getting my black belt. Also wearing a face mask in public has been a pain. It’s hard to breathe in those things. I know it’s keeping us safe, that’s why I wear them.
