Boys JV Soccer Continues Improving Throughout Season
Read about the Boys JV Soccer season.
Due to the coronavirus, soccer was a sport that Sweet Home was very concerned about starting, and had been postponed at first. Luckily, students had made an impact on this decision and the board ended up changing their decision so that soccer teams could begin their seasons!
Coach Prisco says that the team should have a great season, as long as they play as a team and implement the tools that they have learned during practice into the game. They only have three people returning from last year’s team, so Coach hopes that the team will adapt to the new level of soccer that they were accustomed to before and they will have a great season! The team has 19 players, and captains Adam Korte, Enzo Bufalino and Avry Field are the leaders of the team and they all provide competitive experience to the team.
“We are just blessed and happy to have a season, and we are taking cautious measures everyday in practice to stay safe and social distance,” Coach Prisco says. He thinks that the team is coping very well so far.
Their first game was on October 18th at Williamsville South. They won 3-1, with Enzo Bufalino scoring two goals and having one assist! Overall the season is going great and we’re hoping to continue with the amazing season!
